Well, for self-petitioned cases (EB-1A and NIW), the alien is both the beneficiary and the petitioner, so you can file it - I just did my NIW I-140 earlier today.yes, it said: "Purpose of Form: To petition for an alien worker to become a permanent resident in the United States. This form is filed on behalf of an alien, and not by the alien."
But it is also written in the instruction for paper based form: "Purpose of Form :To petition for an alien worker to become a permanent resident in the United States. This form is filed on behalf of an alien, and not by the alien."
So what is the conclusion?
Same thing happened to me as well.I efiled today for NIW, it went to TSC and I have SRC#.
I kept getting an error that Tax# is not filled. I tried putting N/A there, but that did not work. I just left it blank and confirmed my petition (it let you confirm even though it thinks there are problems).
Did anybody have similar experience? I will be efiling Eb1 soon and I am sure the same problem re-occurs.
