Effectiveness - Post Writing to Ombudsman

I wrote to the Ombudsman back in June, and received a reply this weekend saying that his office opened up a request with USCIS, and I should expect a reply from CIS in 45 days.

Has anyone here witnessed a positive outcome by writing to the Ombudsman? Did the USCIS actually respond in 45 days? Very curious to know ....

coowboy, I received the same letter from Ombudsman, let's hope some good news soon.

Coowboy/Reddy,

What did you write to Ombudsman? Is it a general enquiry or a specific problem on your case? I would like to know if I could do the same to get some traction on my case. Please let me know the details (format, address, any tips etc).

We wrote to Ombudsman, too.

And got the same reply. It was about two weeks ago or so. I read here a few days ago, though, a member posting that CIS had not responded yet after 45 days passed. Now that was just one case I saw (a small sample theater), so perhaps we might be able to expect something in other cases. But we keep expectation low.
