Hi Guys,
I need your expert opinion on my situation. My current passport has validity of 20 yrs, which I believe is not permitted as per International Passport Standards. So as advised by Indian Embassy, I have applied for a new passport with a validity of 10 yrs. I was informed that my current passport would be cancelled, with my H1-B visas intact, and that I would have to carry both the passports.
What is the impact of the change in my passport information on the pending I-140 and I-485 applications? Should I mail copy of my new passport to USCIS ?
I would really appreciate your comments or suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
