I was filling application for citizenship. I was confused about what to write in the voilations section or what not. I had too many

Year Description Comments
----- ------------------------------ ----------------
2004 At -fault Reckless driving accident A Lawsuit is pending
2002 At-fault Accident qualified voilation as per ins.
2001 Forgiven Speeding ticket /fine paid
1999 At Fault Accident /No Voilation and Not qualified as per insurance
1998 Forgiven Not Yielding Ticket I dont have date of this
1997 Some parking ticket I dont have date of this

1. Is it better to contact lawyer to decide which one to include ?. I know some people feel better to write every thing. but wrting all means too much exposure , if i doesnt write it may be considered hiding. So which is better
2. Is it better to mention about pending lawsuit ?. If so what papers is required to be included
3. I dont have the records of the fines I paid. So what proofs I need to submit. I only had police reports for the latest accidents. what papers needs to be included . I had DMV 's report which only shows last 3 incidents. What papers shall I need to include ?.
As a whole , is it better to go through lawyer ?.
4. Does this history considered as Bad to be effected in general?. I know some times they reject the application. I want to hear ur views.

Oh Man! I am speechless!
What do you smoke?

first, you need to go to your court house and get a confirmation from them that you have taken care of all the tickets....
i have never heard a case being rejected over traffic tickets, but those are one or 2 tickets...u have quite a few,was there any dui's?...
post your question here
http://immigration-information.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=18

he will defintely give u a good idea as to how you should go through ur case....

also if u look around in this forum there was a guy in feb/march who posted tht he had like 6-7 tickets...surf around to get info....

hope this helps

Please tell me which town and state you live in.

Except the first one -- reckless driving, none of the other tickets are any cause for concern. Having 6 traffic tickets is OK as long as they are just moving violations such speeding and the like. I personally know someone that did not have any issues with 6 speeding tickets. Parking tickets are again non-issue.

I would consult an attorney that has relevent experience. In the worst case, you may have to wait for 2 or 3 more years to reapply. After all good moral character is required only for the preceding 5 years. But of course, you need to learn to drive safe and don't get into more troubles.

I think you got a good advice here. Get all the data and facts. I would consult a lawyer for sure.

You have pretty bad record, but your are far from hopeless case. In my opinion, with the rigth attitude and good preparation you will be fine. This is only if you do not have other unfavorable things in your application.

DUIs and/or reckless driving are important violations. Also, history of too many, too frequent tickets can potentially create "bad character" (based on the disregard for local/traffic laws).

Friendly advice, DO NOT cover up anything that was asked of you or lie about your past record. If they are asking about ALL your convictions/tickets, list them all. Lying is considered "bad moral character" and is ground for application denial and even more trouble for you.

P.S.: I'm not a legal expert and this is not a legal advice. I'm just an ordinary guy. Your decision - your risk.

I missed to tell you that 'None of the tickets are DUI's. If I want to get a confirmation that I paid all the fee from courthouse . shall I need to get this confirmation from the court house I attended?. are there any centralized system from which I get this information ?.

out of 6 mentioned, one accident is not a voilation for sure and another is also not a voilation but I am not sure . Are there any place I can call to checkup?. May be local Muncipal court or police station.
I appreciate your feedback.
