485 ND Jan 2004 , AD Apr 19 06
LUD Feb 27 , Mar 30 (i think all from automated process send/receive FP2 s)
FP1 Nov 2004, FP2 Mar 06 both Code 1
have to wait for Biometrics before getting the card.. if I had this completed earlier,
may be i would have got mine in 1-2 weeks after approval..
has any approved people in similar situation apart from hellomass/srini_king.
plz post your experiences..

came to know NC completed on Jan 06 just before PD became current in Feb

after seeing no Luds called USCIS on Apr 17th @ 10 am
Received approval on Apr 19th around 4 pm
Lady officer did not talk nice, just said appln was Under review meaning was yet to be assigned to officer.

So i think Calling "at the right time " does help against making too many calls...

This is just my guess and a fyi...
make sure you check on your dependants too on each call. so that all get approved at same time..

Mine was stuck in NC from Mar 05 that was according to my phone call in Apr 05. i never asked them about NC. They told me.

So when my PD became current Feb 06, in the first wk I called around 4 pm to VSC and i checked with this officer if "all checks" were completed. he said yes and the I specifically asked was NC completed. He told my NC came thru the earlier week and everything was ready for a decision.
but i think after that FP expired and had wait so long..
I think you may want to ask "when can i expect approval to an officer." rather than

Did you have boimetrics (picture + signature) done when you went for FP ?

I have received the notices. it says wait for the bio FP notice. I should have called them before i went for the FP 2 in Mar. Looks like all these are automated processes. Donno who decides the type of Code. they could always do Code 3 in the first place to avoid these delays..
