Here is the discussion with that lady IIO.
my info: PD 2/99, FP 3/01, RFE 4/01 (Emp ltr & bio ), RFE recd by vsc 4/25

me: good afternoon mam.
iio: good afternoon.
me: I would like to know the status of my case.
iio: what would you like to know!!!!!!!!
me: it\'s been more than 625 days since 485 is filed. why is it taking so much time.
iio: looking at the file, i see you info for rfe is recd. the case is at the area where it will be picked up and looked in to.
me: is it with an officer.
iio: it is in the area where it will be looked into ( same reply as above). you will hear something in next 30 days.
me: it\'s been more than 60 days since rfe has been recd by vsc.
iio: you will hear from us in next 30 days.
me: thank you.

your priority date wasn\'t current until July right? That may be the reason for that hold. Now you can expect it any time soon.

yes. the PD became current for me on July 1st. Since there were cases that got approved in the first few days of the month when PD became current, I called for the first time. Hope fully they process it in next few days.
