Guys and Gals,

I hate to spread rumors but I just read in one of the forums (Nebraska one) that according to a posting in the US consulate in New Delhi PD cutoff date for EB3s from India may have moved to May 00. Again I have not been able to confirm this and at this time I believe it to be a rumor. Maybe one of you guys will have more. Lets all hope this isn't a rumor.

regards,

saras

How come EB2 is behind EB3?
Also it says, 'PRIORITY DATES FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2005'.
It should be for the month of November right?

Saras,no need to panic,it's true based on Manila exp

Kudos to USCIS for puting its own foot in mouth (ours). 2.5 years in 1 month ,let us hope in Dec its Dec2002 and in Jan June 2004. :D :D But again no prediction can be made of great great USCIS.
Kabhi rulata hai ,kabhi chirhata hai. :D  :D :D

Possibly true. It is possible EB2 may be behind EB3 if the EB2 demand is more than EB3. This has happened in USCIS history previously and now it is happening again

The fact is that everyone wants to apply under Eb2...No body likes Eb3.. :)
May be next month Eb2 will go ahead than Eb3.. As per the thread started by Chakor there are very few Eb2 remaining for the year of 2001..There shouldn't be any harm to USCIS even if they move Eb2 priority dates at the end of 2001...

Check following message. I am also enclosing link.

The 245(i) cases which were filed mostly before April 31, 2001 will more or less seriously affect the pace of the visa number progression. But look at the estimate of 245(i) which is pending at the DOL. The number is staggering. There are estimated to be approximately 345,000 245(i) applications with the DOL. Without doubt, some of these applications will be denied, withdrawn or abandoned, but the prediction indicates that as many as 250,000-275,000 direct beneficiaries plus additional derivative beneficiaries of their family members (average 2.5) will move into I-140 and I-485 streams in the future.
