EB3 India, does it make sense to transfer to EB2

I EB3 with priority date of Nov 2001, i have applied to labor substitute about 4 years ago,
is it possible to change to EB2, what are the options or just have to wait and hope the dates move some time in October

One way is to change employer (to add current employer's experience) on H-1B and start a new GC trail from the beginning. Later you can interfile your newly approved I-140 to the existing I-485 application.

However, your PD is old enough for a speedy GC approval as EB3 case itself. I would simply wait in your situation.
