EB3 and 140 & Consular Processing

My labor certification is filed under old method under EB3.

I know that means my priority date has to be current for 140 filing.

Does the lower priority date under EB3 affect me if I go for Consular Processing? I think I know that it does for 485 application.

Yes it does. You will not be granted a visa number by the Consulate until the dates are current for your case.Your case can proceed to a certain point with the NVC though.
