As we all know, Priority dates went back to 1999 or 2000 (don't have the exact date). Is there any change in this yet?

Any guess how fast it can move now (in next bulletin)?

I heard, Bush is palnning to push for INS reform in this year (1st quarter), is this going to help us get our green cards atleast this year?

Yes the current administration is for Immigration Reforms -- but its on the different direction. As promised before the election - the administration wants to put in place a Guest Worker Program that would lead to possible Green Card for the illegal immigrants.

My thoughts [may be wrong]... nothing will happen in the areas of EB immigration and country quota. The corporate america is happy with H1b/L1 and out sourcing. Most of them have opened developement centers in low cost country. There needs have changed so there will be no PUSH.
The farmers, factory owners, construction companies need low tech workers , the hospital needs Nurses and physical therapist ... as these cannot be so easily outsourced .... so there is a great PUSH here.

In this era call Urself fortunate -- if U could apply for 485....

Immigration reform and and elemination of retorgression are no related.
In fact, retrogression enforces immigration laws (per country quota).
Unless congress/senate increases the number of immigrant visas (highly unlikely as it leads to longer backlogs) there is little hope. I agree with eBhola in that corporate America gains more from non-immigrant workers than immigrant-workers. You can expect increased number of H1 visas in the future.
