EB3, 02/27/2004 RD Approved!

I don't know where to start, but I'm sure this is god send.

I definately lost hope this morning reading the new PD cut-off date is set for 01/2002. My PD is 06/2003 and falling into the affected categories. I was certain I won't see light for my case for probably another 1.5 years or even more.

But this afternoon, I got the approval email from USCIS. I also confirmed the message on the phone. I really hope this isn't a joke, a USCIS mischief. That'll just be too much! Today isn't April Fools Day, is it? I pinch my leg to make sure it's not illusion!

Besides, I just started the new job last week, no need to stick with the old employer for another 6 months! What a timing!

I-140 approved 08/2004
FP done early 11/2004 or late 10/2004

I had some RFE problem with my wife and daughter's EAD/AP (all about passport copy), and my daughter's AP still pending since 09/24/2004. So I was thinking this email was for my daughter's AP approval. Or maybe it actually is, they just updated the wrong case number? Oh, I can't stand the thought of that!

The only LUD change is 11/23 for receiving the FP result. I remember it from the online portfolio because I was checking for my daughter's AP status frequently.

Looks like 2004 approvals started coming in steadily....any trend here?

Oh, you mean you've already seen one? My case isn't isolated? Then that's less likely a USCIS mistake but a valid approval, right? Sorry if I sound a bit paranoid, I just can't help it. But believe me I'm not usually so... :-)
 
Good that they are approving EB3 today. Only hope is that they will continue this till 15th ( before USCIS gets new allocation ). Hard to say what will happen after that ?

Congrats. What a lucky guy ! You have finished your complete GC journey in just 18 months where as most of the people spend more than 18 months in I485 itself.
