EB2 to backlog by mid 2006..

i had a talk with an attorney who has dealings directly with the DOS/USCIS department that handles thses issues.
Their estimate, as of Feb 10, 2005, is that EB2 will backlog by mid 2006, not this year. EB3 has already backlogged from Jan 1, 2005. So all those who are waiting for EB2 CP/I-485 adjustment take notice.

This will happen due to the
- PERM process
- backlog clearing of Labor cert applications
- I-140s approvals due to the above 2

If this isn't proof of Murphy's laws, I don't know what is. After getting slammed by the EB3 backlog, you try to go thru EB2, wait for 1.5 years until mid 2006 and BAM! PDs regress. f*** the whole thing!

I have a labor approved if I go for CP on my I-140(EB2) and if EB2 regression rumors become very strong can I with draw from CP and apply for I-485 just in time.

you can definitely withdraw from CP and go for I-485. But, sorry to bring the bad news..... when EB2 regresses, it will be both for CP as well as for I-485.
