EB2 or EB3

I keep seeing everybody mentioned EB2 or EB3. I checked my Labor Certificate and didn't find where this information came from. Can anyone tell me how I can find I am EB2 or EB3 from LC? BTW, I have US doctorate degree. But my job requires min. is bachelor. Thank you.
 
Your LC will not have the catergory but Your approved I140 will.
They will have something like 203 (b) (3) (..1 or 2) in this case to indicate your EB catergory.
It is not about what degree you have. It is all about what degree they want for that position.

I didn't have chance to see my I-140 form and didn't know which one the attorney select. The attorney told me she filed in EB2. However, she screwed up my case and delay for more than one year. Honestly, I didn't trust her.

My SOC is 17-20051(Structural Engineer). Job code is 4. I have US PH.D and 5-year foreign experience. I am in current job about 3 years. Am I good in EB 2?
