EB2 March 04 PD. Still single. Should I file for AOS in August?

Hi,

My labor PD is March 04 (EB2) and both labor and 140 are approved. I'm still single and the earliest I could get married is Jan/Feb 08. Am in 7th year of H1B. Had recent layoffs in company and job is somewhat unstable so I would prefer to apply for AOS while dates are still current i.e. before Aug 17th. But I can't afford to get my 485 approved before I have a spouse and can add her application to mine, else she'll be stuck in my home country.

* What are the chances that my AOS, if applied for in August, could get approved in the next six months? My date had already become current in June itself before the July fiasco. How likely is it that when the new fiscal year starts in October, the dates would again be current from where they left off in June i.e. the chances that PD would again become current in Oct/Nov/Dec and therefore put me at risk of getting an AOS approval before Jan/Feb 08?

* Should I file for AOS in August or wait? Will really appreciate if the gurus on this forum would give their opinion.

* Also, last year I had planned to apply for Canada PR and had consequently got my FBI fingerprinting done and cleared. Could this expedite the FBI name check portion of my AOS approval?

* And finally, I know that one way to delay the AOS approval is to delay the fingerprinting. Besides that, can I delay it by not sending all the documents in my application which would ensure an RFE? Does anyone know which documents are safe to not include in the initial application? That is, those that would result in an RFE but not an automatic denial?

Thanks very much
