EB2 - I-485 Interview at local office

LC Filed / Approved in Feb 2003 (EB3)
Place of Birth : India
I-140 Approved in Dec 2004

In Jan 2007 Lawyer recommends and converts me from EB3 to EB2
PERM approved in a week
I-140 ( EB2 ) approved in Dec 2007
My I-485 was moved to local office in June 2007

Now I have AOS interview in 2 weeks in local office, asking to bring I-94, passport and all original documents.

Question is – When I-485 is moved to local office is everyone has to go through interview process?

Does any one had interview in local office recent time?


Any help or information/ your interview experience will be great help and I will appreciate your response

These interviews are fairly routine. They will most likely check your current employment status, the ability of employer to pay etc. Do a search about these interviews on trackitt.com. There's an entire section dedicated to transfer to National Benefits Center which results in interview at local office for AOS applications. If your PD is current and NC/BC are clear, you may actually get on-the-spot approval on the day of your interview.
