EB2 I-485 approved (former NAME CHECK victim)

Hello all,

I am happy to let you all know that my I-485 is approved and I received the plastic cards as well TODAY (6/30). (the case was approved last week, received emails, but I stopped trusting USCIS, waiting until I have cards in my hand to announce)

Details are in signature.

When I inquired in 02/2006 when my PD became current , I inquired thru senator and found that name check is pending. I lost all hope. Even after I replied for RFE and USCIS received, I did another inquiry on 05/25/2006 and found that name check is still pending. But I do not know when it was cleared recently. There was a LUD on long approved I-140 on 6/17/2006 which I think may be the date Name check cleared. Please DO NOT count this as this is just my helucination.

Me too, just got approved, only 2 days later than you, in terms of "welcome email", "approval email". I hope to receive my card in 2-3 days then!

To my experience and knowledge, when you receive a RFE, it indicates your NC has already been cleared. So your 2nd inquiry did not return the right answer... But now, who cares! :cool: :cool:

Thats what I thought - when a RFE is issued the name check should have been cleared. BUT, after the RFE is acknowledged by USCIS and when I called and talk to an officer, she said it is still pending. I was just devastated by that. She said there is no relation between RFE and name check clearing because NSC is doing pre-adjudication. 3 weeks after this I-485 is approved, go figure!! may be name check cleared during these 3 weeks, I don't know. I did send a request to local senator office to expedite the name check but they showed middle finger ;)

Anyway, the chapter is closed.

Do I have to send the OLD I-94 to some one or just shred them?

I too got an approval mail today. I got a welcome mail on the 27th. What do we get from the USCIS other than the cards. Do we get a approval notice also.

Please let us know.

I got a welcome notice letter along with the cards.

July, 4th never looked more meaningful!!
