EB2 for advance degree category

I am currently in my 8th year extension of H1-B visa and my labor certification application is pending in Philadelphia backlog center. My employer originally filed for my green card under EB3 category during Dec.2002.

Now I obtianed my MBA degree from US university .

Is it a good idea to apply through Perm under EB2 caetgory now without withdrawing the pending application at the backlog center. Filing under EB2 category (with my advance MBA degree )any way is going to help to expedite the green card process. Any valuable suggestion is appreciated.

You may want to repost this thread under Immigrant Green Cards (not nonimmigrant visas). Right now it is under E2 visas for Foreign Investors, you may not get the answers you are looking for here.
