I got my FP notice (it says i need to appear for biometrics to be taken by local USCIS) after 5 months of RD.

From this forum appears everybody got their finger print notice within two months after submission.
It is almost a year never got FP.

It seems it depends on the officer who receives your application/case.

I got my FP notice after 8 months! , don't worry you will get FP, if your case is ready to be processed.

it took me 8 months. I applied in sep 2003 and I got FP notice in May 2004. more than 8 months. wait for some more time, you will receive.
