I recently came to know that my second application for an EB2-NIW has also been approved. Needless to say I have already applied for AOS under my previously approved EB1EA. So my question is what happens to my NIW approval. Does it get cancelled automatically once I file for 485 on the previous case? Does it remain approved indefinitely? In case something unotward makes my EB1EA 485 application unsucessful....can I used this second case to apply another 485?

It is very rare chance that anything will happen with ur I-485 associated with Eb1 (unless u have done some major blunder).
generally you have to file I-485 within 6 months of I(-140 approval................you also have choice for not doing anything for thsi petition.
