So I have a masters in Electrical Engineering from the US. In my previous gig as a researcher (post masters) I have around 30 patents (all joint, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th author), around 5 papers at different mid-top tier conferences. I also have around 275 citations as per google scholar and I have also been on the peer review committee for couple of conferences. After this gig, I worked as a software engineer for a couple of years.
Now I am again joining a stable startup as a research engineer who is going to need all my experience till date (research + development) in a similar field. I have by EB2 I140 approved but since I am changing employers, it would obviously mean new GC application.
I was wondering if I have a shot at EB-1A? If my EB1A gets denied what are the repercussions? Do I lose my EB2 priority date? My country of birthday is India so I am willing to take this shot.
