How many of these people who wrote reference letters for do you know ? What is the exact process to become a member of Sigma Xi ? Papers reviews on behalf of advisor doesn't count because they weren't send to you directly but only becuase of the reputation of your boss.
Overall I think you have very good chances in OR, and perhaps in EA but this will quite more risky.
