My EB1-OR petition was recently approved.

I did not expect to receive the approval so soon.
INS sent a courtesy copy to HR and they informed me.
We informed the lawyer. I am going for CP.

I-140 receiptDate

How long it takes to get the receipt date once the initial I-140 application is submitted? Please give me some info on this.
 
Depends on the circumstances

It took me almost two months to receive the receipt. However, that was the case with many people at that time (May, June, July). Before the Anthrax scare, people were getting receipts in 2-3 weeks. Now it might be different again.
