I am from Houston and I actually sent all materials to our lawyer in the midst of Hurricane Rita while we were evacuating - Sep 21-25, 2005 - to meet the Sep 30 date so as to submit all paperwork prior to retrogression kicking in! At one point I was not sure if I'd get the materials in on time because all FedEx, UPS and USPS had stopped their pickup and delivery in Houston area due to Hurricane Rita!! - We were forced to evacuate and even with all the other troubles we faced due to the evacuation - I had one more thing to worry about - How in this world am I going to get this application submitted before Sep 30th! - Anyway I did it then and thankfully all those pains have paid off!
Thanks to all the contributors to this forum. I learnt a lot about the GC process from this forum. Good luck to all those awaiting approvals and hope you get approved soon as well.
Thanks all.
