EB1: help needed

Please advise regarding my situation:

I am working for a big biotech company in west coast, and my boss is leaving because of the projects are dying. I have prepared all my materials for EB1 OR category except waiting for one more reference which should be arriving next week. But I want to leave the company too. The company is doing okay, but I really don't like it here and my background doesn't fit quite well in here, and after the projects die, I will not have any work except that I switch to another totally different field in the company. Should I wait for another 6-9 months for my I140 to be approved and then move on to another company or I better find another job and leave now? Please advise....

EB-1 OR depends on company sponsorship, EB-1 EA does not. Changing fields within the same company can jeopardize the petition. If they using an attorney, do get his opinion. Also, consider EA.
