EB1/EB2 and travel restrictions?

Hi,

can you give me some advice regarding travel restrictions once you apply for an EB1/EB2 visa or have submitted your I-140?

I am currently on an H1B visa, and I am wondering if a submission of the EB1/EB2 application would mean that I cannot leave the US while my case in pending.
If that's the case, would it be advisable to submit all paperwork at the same time, or just the I-140 and wait?
How long does the process take?

Thanks!

The only time you cannot travel is when you non-immigrant visa is expired or you are out of status and when you use your EAD card to take a new job then you need an Advance Parole.
