My I-140@VSC was approved on November 15th 2000. Heard it on the automated phone system. No RFE. Self petitioned, did not use lawyer.

My company had applied for an EB1-OR for me in July 00. I dont have the EAC# for that case. The company lawyer hasn\'t yet got an approval yet. But that is now irrelevant.
This clarifies a point that was discussed on this board before ... you can apply for two 140s at the same time ... atleast if they are EB1-EA and EB1-OR.
My qualifications:
BS from an IIT in India
MS & PhD in 4 years from one of the top 5 EE schools in the US
employed in one of the top industrial research labs in the US
125K salary (I dont know if this makes a difference?)
three research related awards ... two of them as a graduate student and one from current employer
multiple scholarships/fellowships as a student
1 invitation to chair a session in a major conference in 2001
3 invitations to submit papers in conferences
one best student paper award
18 papers
7-10 citations (most of my papers were published after 1996, so I had a hard time searching for references)
2 patents, 4 more pending
