Hi All,

I am going to e-file my EB1-EA (PP) case this week. Hopefully it will go to TSC. I am keeping my fingers crossed and I have few questions about aftermath of the approval of I-140:

1. How long does it take to get the Work permit (EAD) after filing I-485?

2. Is it common/rare to have I-485 rejected?

3. Once I get my EAD card, Should I use EAD to work or continue on H-1B till I get my green card? Can my spouse work on EAD while I keep working on H-1B? What are the pros and cons?

4. Mine is a self-petition. However I am still employed by a firm. This means that during this I-140 and I-485 process I can change job anytime, right?

Thanks for answering my questions.

1.max 90 days, though as short as 10 days.
2. rare.
3.use you H1-B until you have you AP. You spouse can use the EAD while you are on H1-B. If you don't have AP and you drop your H1B by using EAD, you are trapped in the US until you have an AP.
4.yes.
