EB1-EA I 140 receipt

Dear Readers,
This is my situation. I have an approved I 140 (under EB2- NIW) from texas service center. Recently I moved as a postdoc to Washington U, St Louis. About month back I applied for i 140 under EB 1-EA. I received receipt notice with number (LIN******) dated Nov 16th. But when I check the case status online, it says they can't recognize the receipt number, and when I called the customer service they said the case is still new and it will take some time.
Is this true, how long will it take for me to check my case status online? I did file my case myself ( I am a poor postdoc).
Can you guys around please enlighten me about this problem and what can be done? :)
 
I don't see a problem at all: Your case number is still not updated in the system, but as long as you have an actual receipt notice with the LINxxx number, you should be fine and the online status will appear soon. For further peace of mind, you can look on the back of the check you sent to USCIS once it is returned to your bank, and the LINxxx number should be printed there too.
