EB1-EA for O-1 Applicant

Could someone help me! As a O-1 visa holder under Engineering, what documents do I have to file for getting approved for EB-1/I-140 category. Do I need to file all the documents(reference letters, publication, etc..)that I filed for O-1 petition or just O-1 approval notice.

I appreciate any input.

this is a completely new application

of which your o-1 current visa is only one of the many components
 
Criteria the same

Legally speaking, the criteria for O-1 and EB-1 are the same. However, the bar is raised somewhat higher for the latter application as it will be examined much more closely than the O-1.

You have to file all the requied documents for EB1-EA. Even though the requirements for O1 and EB1-EA are quite similar, they are not exactly the same. Moreover, the recommendation letters should mention your qualification for "extraordinary ability" rather than for "O1 visa" (if mentioned in the letters you already have). Just filing the O1 approval letter is not acceptable at INS as evidence for EB1-EA. You will have to attach the O1 approval as a proof of current visa only.
