You satisfy the following 3 minimum requirements for EB1-EA:

(1) original research contributions (your Ph.D. work)
(2) author of scholarly articles (publications/presentations)
(3) judge of other\'s work (referee)

So, you can certainly try it but be warned that meeting these minimum requirements doesn\'t mean INS will serve it to you on a platter. It is a matter of presenting your case and convincing the analyst to agree with you. Other evidences that you might have and that can strengthen your application are:

(1) citations of your work by peers
(2) awards/honors received in the professional field
(3) membership in professional organization that require advanced credentials
(4) strong letters of support from professors, scientists

Good luck!

You can try--it does no harm for future petitions sponsored by an employer.

For your reference, my fellow graduate student at MIT (now a second year postdoc) filed EB1-EA, got a RFE, then a denial notice. He is now appealing. He has several papers on SCIENCE and on NATURAL, I believe.

Good luck!
