EB1 Approved today in Vermont

Hello all,

I am new here, just found out yesterday about this forum.
We got approved today, it was by mistake that we have found out.
We moved from New England to New Mexico and wanted to check if they updated the address. I was shocked to see that it was approved today.
We applied on June 30th, 2004. It was very very fast!!!
We applied completely by ourself. I did the petition on my husband's name.
In brief, we both are PhDs, but he had better chances than me. Here comes his credentials:
referee to three major international journals including the Phys.Rev Letter, one of the very best in his field. He has started the referee work since 2001. We proved that with letters from the journal's editors.
More than 30 papers published (none of them conference proceedings--which do not required a referee), most of them with him as prime author. The papers have no more than 3 authors, most of them maximum 2.
To prove that the articles have significant impact, we use how many time his work was cited, and by whom...from what countries. None of the citations....were self-citations. He has more than 40 citations, which is not a big number, but not small either.
His PhD was in Physics in one of the top 5 Univ in US. His postdoctoral felowship on No.1 Univ. I do not think this truly matters.
He got 6 letters of recomandations, all of them from people who have directly known, one of them from a Prof. outside US. In the letters...none of them wrote any percentage..like he is in 1% or 10%...nothing.
The letters were pretty short, one page and a half, writing about what he really has done during the PhD and postdoc.
He attented many national/international Conferences: more than 40. I wrote explicity where the Conferences have been held: name of the countries.
The application was clear written like some paper everyone will understand, without any "lawyer words".
We bought a do-it-yourself kit...from www.usaia.org which turned out to be completely unusfull. Every comment from the kit, you could have found it on the internet. None examples, none specific case, NOTHING at all. We wasted our money, every bit of information was from the internet.
Our petition was approved without any requirement for more evidences. Nice and clear, and I am really happy. I can't even believe it myself.
I hope this information might be helpful to someone. I wish you all the best to all and yes....it is possible!!!
BUT
I do have a question to ask you guys. We moved two months ago in New Mexico, from New England. We haven't filled up the I-485. Now we want to fill up, but I do not know where to send it..... to Vermont (where we have submited I-140) or to Texas (where we are supposed to send based ou our new home residence). Any advice is more than appreciated.
If you need more information, just ask.
Cheers

Congratulations and Best wishes..it must have been a great effort..and sweet success..and thanks for sharing the happiness and the success story..now to your question, one applies to the current residence area of jurisdiction..but i am not completely sure of it, or i believe you could file it at texas, where you filed originally and let them clearly know of your present address and then probably they(texas)would transfer your file to vermont..plss consult with uscis customer rep, select the option of "further action on an approved case "and it will let you speak to customer rep/Immi officer..and the best is consult with a lawyer..you have it approved so to be better and safe please consult a lawyer..it saves you lot of stress, and time you could be sure of your answer and you won't have doubts..and also guess you should check this link - http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/legpermres.htm
and http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/newsrels/LockBox11_23_04.pdf ..
I am have applied for 140 and 485..had some updates but have not heard of status from uscis..just praying ..
Best Wishes..in your endeavours..
