EB1 and EB2 simultaneously

Hi, I was informed that it is possible to apply for EB1 (OR or EA)
as well as start labor certification for EB2 at the same time. Is
this correct, has anybody on this group done something like that or
know of someone who has done that?
Thanks!

I applied for EB1-OR/EA a month apart and both got approved @ VSC. As long as you are not applying for two different jobs, I dont see why you cant apply under multiple categories if you qualify.

I applied for EB1-OR and EB2-NIW in 1999. The first one was denied in June 2000, the second was approved in Oct. 2000.

I apologize for not making myself clear: what I meant was can
you file for EB1-OR/EA and labor certification (i.e. for a green
card via the EB2 (not EB1-2) category) at the same time.
The idea being that if the EB1-OR/EA is denied for whatever reason,
one would not lose the time involved in waiting for the INS
and labor certification would continue during that period.
Thanks!

I dont see why you should have a problem ... there is no law, that I am aware of, that prohibits you from doing this. Post your question
@ www.imminfo.com ... an attorney (Ron Gotcher) will answer your question.
