I filed my case (self petition) in April 11, 2006. Got an extensive RFE in January 26, 2007 with a deadline of April 20, 2007. (details in the following thread with the copy of the rfe):
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=247091

Replied with response letter answering each and every point and documents April 18, 2007. CRIS mail and LUD on April 19, stating "received rfe response and case processing has been resumed"

On April 30, 2007 received approval notice dated April 25, 2007. But still today (April 30, 2007) no CRIS mail received neither any change on LUD status.

Anyway much happy with it and thanks to all for the positive comments and support. :D :D :D

Congratulations!!! I thought your RFE was a difficult one since it was generic, not very specific. Great job in replying the RFE. Did you do it yourself? Did you provide any new evidence?

Yes I agree, it was a difficult generic RFE. I did a point wise seven page response letter with lot of research online. Luckily after the original petition many of my research things clicked in the past year and I could answer and provide evidence for each and every question asked. I was lucky indeed and if things don't click for somebody and if someone falls short of evidences, I have no idea how they would respond.

But I am from India and stuck with I-485 for retrogression.

Gurus, any clue what might happen, any policy changes ??? Still at NSC it is stuck in Jan 08, 2003 !!!!!

I suggest go for EB1. E-file to TSC and do PP. You will probably get approved in a week and there is no issue of retrogression. Just my 2 cents.

Congratulations

What an exciting news! Do you mind sharing some points how you responded to the generic RFE? I got about the same RFE from NSC, very generic. Please see below. Thank you very much!

1. Please submit documentary evidence to establish that your work is national scope. Relate your actual results and their impact to national interest.

2. Please submit any additional papers before the May 19, 2006. (My RD)

3. Provide citation.

4. Demonstrate that the national interest would be impacted if labor certificate is required.

5. Establish that you have a past record that justifies projections to future benefits to the national interest.

My background:

1. Ph.D. in civil engineering
2. 6 publications, all are first author. Most are new, 3 are published before my RD and 3 are published after RD. Only 7 citations but all for the first publication since most are new.
3. 6 recommendation letters (3 independent) are submitted last year.
4. 3 membership.
5. PE.

Congrats krqtky,
How long did it take Nebraska RFE issued on the 26th Jan to reach you.
I just got an e-mail from CRIS that on the 26th April an RFE has been issued for my EB1 application. This is after the case has been pending for 9 months :( .
Thanks

RFE for EB1 Nebraska

Hello,
I was wondering how long Nebraska takes to send the Hardcopy for the RFE. This is for my application filed in July 2006, I got an email saying that RFE has been issued on the 26th April

For ashEB1

For ashEB1:
It took about five days to reach Cleveland, OH from Nebraska. You should get it any day.

Goodluck

Congratulations krqkty! This is well done particularly that you did not have an attorney and it was a Do-It-Yourself case.

Good luck in the rest of your process.

Thanks krqkty,
Cant wait to see what the RFE is. Saw your RFE, you must have done a great job with it. Congrats again and good luck.
