I will be eligible to apply for GC under EB-1 OR category in JUly. Unfortunately, my position is based on grants and as of now, my appointment will run out on Jan. 15. Should I still go on and file for my GC considering the uncertain future? If I get laid off, will the application be withdrawn or do I have some options to keep my case going? Anybody with relevant knowledge, please respond. Thanks!

If you are worried about losing your job, consider an EB-1 EA self petition.
