EB-1 OR private company Vs academia

Hi! I wanted to know whether applying EB-1 OR was easier/tougher with a private company as opposed to academia. I would think that as long as one has the necessary credentials, it should not make a difference??
Any opinions on this?

I have almost 4 yrs experience workig with a univ., but was not able to file for GC under OR category for various reasons. Now I will be changing jobs to a private company, hence the above question. Thanks!
