EB-1 or EB-2/NIW

Confused. I will be working for an American company in Europe. After 12 - 18 months the US company is willing to get me into the US thru either EB-1 or EB-2/NIW visa. Can I qualify for EB-1 if I have MBA title, and an executive position within the Euro office for more then 12 months? Reason I am confused is because I always read about having to qualify for at least 3 out of a big list which I don\'t (no medals, nobel, published work etc.) would appreciate comments. Rene

You can get EB-1 (multi-national executive) category if you satisfy following conditions:

1. Your company has an office in the US.
2. You have worked at the overseas office of the US company for more than 1 year.
3. You can prove that you had management/supervisory responsibilities in the overseas office of the US company for the preceding 1 year.

You can start out by L-1 visa and once you are in US you can apply for EB-1. I doubt if you will be successful in EB-2/NIW category.

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear that I only need to satisfy those conditions (which I will). Probably the most \'work\' will be in proving that I have fulfilled a \'management/supervisory\' position but that should not be a problem. Cheers, Rene
