Hi Everybody
I have followed the advices given by various members. Recently filed EB-1 EA at TSC end of FEB and PP 3/9 (LUD 3/9 - acknowledge PP). (Through immigration attorney).
I would like to get input as to my chances from people who have had similar background AND/OR also those who have dealt with RFEs. I am somehow not confident that I would get this thro without an RFE given the number of PPs at TSC.
Qualification: MD, MPH
Current job: Faculty (Assistant Prof) at University Hospital (Clinical with research duties - physician scientist). Working at world's top institute for bone marrow transplantation (highest number of transplants done every year).
8 publications, however only one abstract as first author.
One publication in New England Journal of Medicine (impact factor 44) with 30 citations, however not as first author.
Criteria claimed:
1. Award: Best resident during internal medicine residency (not a national award). Claimed high exam scores also (?)
2. Various memberships to associations - 6 of them - 3 of them are very selective/tough screening process.
3. Judge of work of others: Evaluating medical students, residents and fellows who rotate through our institute. Also evaluate Advance practice nurses in oncology. Never done review of publications or been on a review panel.
4. Published material about alien: None
5. Alien authorship/publications: 8 (8 publications at first author, so also 8 abstracts one of them as first author), 8 research protocols - cancer trails (which take 3-4 years to complete)
6. High salary: not in particular since University hospitals pay small amounts compared to private hospitals, however showed job offers with higher pay as proof
7. Critical role for organization: Yes, 3 evidences shown
8. Letters of support: 9 (1 from boss, 1 from colleague at same university but different dept, 1 from ex-colleague, 1 from drug company (cancer drug), rest from big shots in field of cancer/transplant/infections)
9. Also included:
Employment/contract letter
Evidence that I did a very high number of bone marrow transplants (among the highest)
Google search results - showing atleast 20 hits with my name (??someone had suggested to include this saying they may google search your name)
Strathmore's who's who - wondering if this helps??
Couple of patient appreciation letters
All the board certifications, licenses to practice, website info about institute.
Thats it! ...Im just 3 years out of residency in medicine, from retrogressed country and hoping to scrape through! worked really hard for the above. Anybody wants to have a bet?? I will be betting - RFE !
