EB-1 Aliens with extraordinary ability.

I have Masters Degree and 3 years of Research & Development experience with a Research Institute of Indian Government. I have
ONE Research papers published in Indian Journals.
Three papers Presented and published in National Symposium.
ONE Paper Presented and published in National workshop.

After that I moved to USA with a US based computer company with job responsibility of Research, Design and Develop computer applications, and had total over 8 years of experience.

Do you think that I have strong enough case to apply under this category?

Alien of extraordinary ability

I don’t think so. Sorry. You need to show extraordinary achievements. For example, a paper published in ‘Nature’ or ‘Science’. ‘Alien of extraordinary ability’ (О-1 visa or 'Green Card' in the category EB1-1 or EB1-EA) is a person who is among the small percentage of individuals who have risen to very top of his/her field of endeavor. Please read papers “The AAO Makes Extraordinary Ability Extraordinarily Hard to Prove” and “Not Quite Extraordinary Enough: The AAO Applies Unreasonable Standards to O-1 Petitions”:

It will help you find an answer. Think about EB1-2 and EB2-NIW. Good luck.

PS: I held O-1 visa (‘Alien of extraordinary ability’) during 2001-2004, but decided to file I-140 petition in the category ‘Outstanding Professor or Researcher’ (EB1-OR or EB1-2, EB1b).
 
Dear kgp, Unfortunately this case will not get done under EB1-EA. You will have a better chance in the NIW category. From the sciences. this category requires above average number of papers at the least and in very high impact factor journals plus a very high citation of your papers. Ability to get grants, association with renowned institutions and recommendations from top-quality investigators unrelated to you are also required.
