Hi everybody,
I am an Italian citizen and I've been in the US with a J1 visa for 6 months this year, till August (also if my visa would have expired on Nov 28th). Now I am subjected to the 2 years rule, as I had some founds form my University. I'd like to came back as visitor for a couple of weeks during Christmas Holydays, and I'd like to know if I could have any problem to enter the US again (I'd have a booked ticket to come back!). Consider that I could make use of the "waiver visa program" for tourist reasons, so I'd have not to apply for any specific visa...thank you in advance!

Having the 2 years foreign residence requirement shouldn't be a problem when it comes to re-etereing the US.

You can use the VISA waiver to enter (best option), apply for a new tourist, etc.. visa if you wish.

You can enter no problem...

The only thing you should keep in mind is that whatever time you spend in the US now would not count towartds the 2 years, that is it.
