Me and my wife just got the interview letter, her appointment is a week apart from my interview, is this normal?

In the letter says bring letter, id, passport but it does not say anything about taxes or any other document at all.... should i take them anyway??

the letter says that it may take 2 hours, is there a chance that that oath is done in the same day or I will have to wait for another letter for oath

thanks

1. It is normal to have appointments in different times and on different days.
2. Yes. You can take all the documents to be safe-side, but most of the times, they don't ask for other documentation unless there are any complications (crimal records/DUI/previosu VISA/GC issues/continuous residence breaking).
3. If your DO supports same day oaths, then it may be possible. Also depends on the time of your interview. If it is before 1:30/2 pm, you will have chance of having same day oath (provided that the DO does oath ceremonies and same day oaths)

Hi CPzinga,

Mine is at Charleston DO at 1.00 PM, do you think i can have same day oath ?

Sanjay, if your DO supports same day oath, most probably you will have it on the same day (Assuming that the oath starts around 3 pm). Make sure that you mention it to your IO during the interview. My interview was scheduled for 2 pm but it got delayed by 15 min. so I couldn't do same day oath. The IO said she was sorry about the delay and she made sure that I got the earliest day for oath and haded the oath letter immediately after the interview. She even coordinated with my wife's IO and ensured that we both got the oath on the same day.

Check in Charleston DO thread to see how it went for others before. That will give a clear picture.
