Early FP2 experience in Boston

Hello everyone,
I had my FP2 done on Sat, 1/10/04, it was scheduled on 2/10/04.

Myself and my spouse had an appointment for EAD (3rd) renewal FP and photo. So we decided to do early FP2 for I-485 also. We had 2:00pm appt. and we reached there at 1:30pm (it was damn freezing cold). I thought first I would do FP2 for 485 so I hand over our FP notice letter from BCIS to the lady at the desk. She checked the appt date at the bottom and asked me "how come we have come early for FP" and she called her supervisor. He came and asked me the same question that "how come we have come so early ?"

So I told them that "we have an appt. for our EAD renewal FP and photo at 2:00pm, so since we are here and we came from far, we thought if we could do FP for 485 also, then it would be great. As we would not have to come again in this freezing cold weather :) " The officer was nice. He asked us if we bring the Confirmation Receipt for EAD. I hand it over the confirmation receipt to him and he looked at it and asked the lady to let us do both the things together.

She gave us the form to fill out. We filled out the form and we were done with everything by 2:00pm.

Hence the conclusion is, if you go for early FP, have a good reason in your mind, incase you are asked any question. Hope this helps to anyone who wants to do the early FP2

What could be a good reason for an early 2FP?

Thanks for the post! It certainly helped as I live in Boston area too. I was also planning to go on 1/10/04 (my 2FP appt is on 2/05/04) but stayed back because of the coooolllld! BTW, was there a big crowd on that subzero saturday?

Well I am planning to go maybe this coming weekend, but I am not sure of what reason to give for my early showing up. Well let me try anyways...

On the other hand does an earlier fingerprinting (2nd one) do any good other than just getting a task done.
