Call FBI at 304-625-5590 or 304-625-2406 to find out if they have sent back the FP result to USCIS or not. You need your Alien number to call.

They sent back my FP result on the same day of FP.

JacksonvilleFL,
I got a question for you. How did you do the early FP at the Jacksonville ACS? I went there trying to do the early FP. FP sheculed for 12/14/04, really don't want everything get delayed for the upcoming holidays, so decided to try the early FP. After 2 hours' driving, the early FP was turned down by the ACS, just could not be able to persuade them to be favorable. Really feel disappointed and frustrate. This is our second FP.

Safari_TSC,

I think you can go to any ASC around you. Always feel confident and feel you have the right to do all these, never mention to them about the earlier FP or anything. Be nice to the officers, avoid the crowd time.

blackbird2000 and JacksonvilleFL,
Thank you very much!!! You guys are really nice. I think I am going to try another ACS for my luck.
As you can see from my signature, our cases(spouse and me) were filed on 4/2002. So it has been a long waiting for us. We did the early FP back in June 2003 at Jacksonville ASC, at that time, they still allowed the early FP. I don't know when they changed their policy. Or maybe they just don't have a standard policy, everything depends.
For JacksonvilleFL, according to our first time experience, FBI usually clears the FP very quickly, it is often the same day or the very next day. For the name check, I don't know at which point BCIS sends the request to FBI, but most people can get the result back to BCIS within 48 hours if there is not a hit in their database. But if there is a hit, it is going to take much longer. In our case, my spouse's name check last more than 4 months. We did a congressional inquiry and finally figured out it was the name check holding everything up. Ever since that, I send a fax to FBI almost every week because I worried so much that our FP was going to expire and we had to do all of this over again. At the end of October, just 6 days after our FP expired, I got a email from FBI stated that the name check was finished. Then we are back to this FP thing again, with the help of my congressman's office. Anyway, this is our story. The fax number for FBI's name check query is : 202-324-3367. Hope you don't need to use this number.

Again, thank you very much, guys!

Safari_Tsc,
Do the CIS request the FBI for the name check for the 2nd time finger prints too?

SRM,
I think they just need the name check once. For the second FP, I think they only need to clear the FP which is usually very quick.
