Early FP in Providence, RI??

I wanted to know if anyone got their FP done earlier than scheduled date in Providence, RI.

Got my 2nd FP notice today.

but i am not too sure. it was done last year i think. i have been trying to find other rhode islanders. good to have found you :)

I am actually a MA resident, but live equi-distant from Boston and Providence.
I had my 1st FP done in Providence. My wife applied after me, and even though we have the same address, she got her FP notice in Boston.
Strange, indeed, are the ways of the BCIS.
Stay in touch....dont hold my MA resident status against me :)

GC-impatient, have you ever called VSC in May asking for your case status and knew your case is assigned to an officer?

Yeah, first time since my 1st FP, did I hear from INS about 485.

I called VSC end of May (2003) and they told me that my case was already with an officer and that I should hear something in 30-45 days (its been more than 45 days now).

Did you ever find out if you case was assigned?

My guess is that once significant number of 2nd FP results are in, officers might start picking up Dec cases again. I dont think any new Dec guys are getting approved now.

GC-impatient, I called in May too and same answer as yours. Hopefully, I can get a 2nd FP notice too.

It takes another month and half before they approve your case
based on yesterday's two approvals. Yes, it sucks, but what can we do.
 
GC_impatient, since your case has been assigned to an officer and no RFE so far, do you think your case actually "has been conditionally approved" pending the FP notice? That's what I thought. Since I saw many FP expired cases got RFE. That means
officer looked at cases even though FP expired. and send RFE
or second FP notice(very much likely approved or recommened approvals written somewhere, pending FP). Otherwise why it takes so long for the FP notice to be issued.

What do you think?

I hope you are right about the conditional approval pending 2nd FP. If thats true, hope you get your 2nd FP notice soon.

I didnt ask about security clearance when I called BCIS only bcos I didnt know about it then. I didnt feel like calling them again as I didnt want to piss them off.
