** Early FP in Hartford, CT ? **

Folks, I've a FP notice for 04/01/05 in Hartford,CT....

I would like to have an early FP done in Hartford,CT. Does anybody had success doing this in Hartford? Please post your experiences.
 
any valid reason why you want to get it done early ? for me it was hard to convince them to allow me do it just a few hours in advance... they are tough...

but you may try... I will personally try this time... but I have a valid reason... well, it looks like valid to me... let's see if they accept it...

I'm moving during my scheduled FP date and my wife is also expecting that time.

Did u try once before? could u walk me through the procedure in Hartford office?
I read in many threads that Saturday is good day to go there.
 
I tried once... my appointment was for 1 PM... I showed up at 8:30 AM because I work in NYC... initially they said no... I had to talk to the manager there... she said that I could wait and if there was a not a lot of people they would allow me to sneak in... I waited till 10:30... and they allowed me to do it...

well, it was not worth it... if I knew it would be like that I would go for 1PM sharp...

this time around though I have an emergency... so I will try to get that done as early as possible...

I'm trying to do my FP like 1 month in advance. Do u think they will alllow me to do this?
 
Early FP Query in Hartford

Hi All,

I got a FP notice for 04/09/05 in Hartford but unfortunately I am leaving to India on 03/24/05 & will be back on 04/22/05. My visit is important otherwise I could have cancelled it. Hence I went to the Hartford office requesting them do do a early FP for me. I also showed them the flight tickets..still the officer didn't accept. He told he'll have to check with the supervisor & the supervisor denied. They told me to reschedule it.

Hence I asked them to give me the earliest available appointment after 04/22/05. They kept my notice & told that they'll send the rescheduled notice by mail. Its more than 10 days & I haven't received the rescheduled notice..whereas the officer told that they'll send it right the next day by mail. Any idea how long it takes to get the rescheduled notice in this scenario. Im a bit concerned as there shouldn't be a situation after I come back from India that I still dont get my FP notice & they shouldn't tell me that I never rescheduled it. These are just my assumptions at the worst case..but I hope this doesnt happen. HENCE PLEASE ADVISE !!

if u have an attorney copy u can use it for FP, else wait for the one to be sent by Hartford office.
 
Hi NeedGCsoon

I was in a similar situation towards end of last year. I went for an early FP and was not allowed. Then i asked to reschedule to appointment. They did it there right away and they attached a small paper to my original FP letter which showed the new appointment date.

My opinion would be - make sure that they and u also have something that shows the rescheduled date.

Bole to I was also planning to go again to the Hartford office this Wenesday/Thursday & try to convince them once again for an early FP as I have a valid reason..still if they don't agree then I will ask them to reschedule it & let me know the rescheduled date on the spot so that accordingly I can plan. Lets see what happens..But normally they don't tell the rescheduled date..they tell that they'll send the rescheduled notice by mail. Any further suggestions please lemme know !!

Bole to....did u go to the Hartford office, also when they rescheduled you FP when did they reschedule it for....meaning what was the actual date & what was the rescheduled date..just wanted to check on the difference. Please keep me posted..Thx !!

My original FP date was 11/4/2004. I was going to india on 10/22/2004 and returning on 11/27/2004. They rescheduled it and the new date was 12/01/2004. The guy at the ASC had told me that - you can have FP on Wednesday/Saturday and that the first available date was 11/27/2004 or 12/01/2004. I picked 12/01/2004 as i would be returning later in the day on 11/27/2004. And i did my FP on 12/01/2004.
 
sucessfull in doing early FP @ Hartford,CT

folks me and my wife were sucessfull in doing early FP @ Hartford,CT.
We went ie on saturday @ 2.30 pm and were out of there by 3.15 pm.

On FP notice she checked for code, which in my case was 3 and she said I and my wife can have FP. God knows what that code 3 means. :rolleyes:
