Early FP experience at CIS Fairfax, Los Angeles?

I just received my FP notice and am scheduled for 12/19/2007 at CIS Fairfax (5949 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA).

Unfortunately, I'll be out of town then and plan to get my FP done early. I plan to go either on a Wednesday or a Saturday, since those're supposedly the low-volume days.

Does anyone have any experience with walk-in FP at this particular location?
 
I went early there in Sept. and had no trouble, I even asked one woman who was working there and they said many people come early. Good luck and if for some reason you don't get lucky try again, it is all up to the person checking you in. My brother just got his notice for late December, he will also try to go early.
 
Went to CIS Fairfax today (around 11am) but the guard told me that they are very busy these days and do not allow walk-ins.

I asked him if I should try and come back another day, perhaps Wednesday, and he said they are very busy pretty much all days now because of the increase in applications.

So I guess I was not lucky enough. I'll probably just go on my scheduled date now.

ftm, was your brother able to go in early?
 
My brother didn't try to go early...
He is not in a rush, even though it may takes up to 18 months...
