It is usually depends upon where you live. But in most of the cases if go the tickets they accept early finger prints.

No disadvantage to doing it early. A lot of people here have done it. We did, and were approved shortly thereafter. Just go to the ASC. You cannot call for appointments. You could only returnt the notice they sent and ask to be rescheduled, which can take many weeks. Just show up. Whichever ASC you choose, search the forums here for good times/days to do a walk-in.

re:

thanks guys. do u mean to say that i can walk in a different ASC than the one mentioned at my notice too. I need to report at des moines and i am currently not in des moines .

you can go to another ASC and you don't even have to call in for an appointment. I did my early FP.
when you go in, just be casual, do not volunteer that you are there for early FP, they don't even care for the date. some ASCs do care, but don't tell them untill they ask.
Also usually wed-thu are really good days to go.

re:

woudnt it cause confusion for BCIS if i went and did my FP in MN instead of IA where i am scheduled to go. has someone tried this .pls comment. i dont want to confuse already confused system.

No, the system is Federal and connected. The FPs are transmitted electronically from the ASC and the results are transmitted back to your processing Service Center, usually within a few days.
