PD: 12/96, EB3, Changed to EB2 on 11/98, RD: 08/02/99, ND: 08/18/99,
INDIA, FP: 06/00, No RFE, Approved on 05/2001.
I called IIO 3 times in last 6 months. Got standard answer "Wait for 30 days". Requested my lawyer to follow up on my case in Feb \'99. He sent my latest paystubs and requested them process my case. There was no response.
Requested a congressman\'s office to followup in early April. They contacted INS and INS said 30 days. There was no approval after 30 days.
Went to congressman\'s office again to followup again. This time it worked.
Three days later my case was approved as per AVM.
I gave the max allowed processing time before I went to my lawyer or congressman. I should have contacted the congressman in Dec 2000 when the processing dates were OCT \'99 ( my ND is Aug \'99).
Anybody whose cases are pending for a long time without RFEs, contacting your local congressman or senator will work.
Good Luck.
