Hi,

My H1B visa application was approved and validate is from June 26 to Sep 25. But my work appointment starts from August 15, which is also stated clearly on the I-797. Is it true that I can only enter US 10 days earlier than August 15 no matter what says on the passport?

On the other hand, on my passport, the B1/B2 visa is still valid until 07-31. Can I enter US under the B-visa to bypass the 10 days restriction?

You can enter the US on a 'B' visa as long as you have a reason behind it. What was the H-1B start date mentioned in the I-797 approval notice? That date is counted.
