Hello Gurus,
I live/work in the U.S., and am considering applying for Canadian PR. I do otherwise qualify for it, experience-wise etc., but I am worried about one thing: I had previously applied for Canadian PR in 1999, the application was successful, i had landed in Canada in 2000, and then came back to the US and never returned to Canada, not even to apply for the Maple Leaf/PR card. I am pretty sure that my Can PR status is quite dead. I am reconciled to that fact, and am willing to start over.
My concern is: will this history prove to be a problem with my new application? My objective is to move to Canada permanently if i am successful, but will my previous abandonment of Canadian PR status be held against me to the extent that they might not give it to me again?
