Hello
Can some one please help me.
I got married and came to US in 2004. My husband is harrasing me from the day 1 that he will divorce me.Once I came to know all my dreams was shattered and I'm in a helpless condition.
My I-485 is approved and I have my EAD card.So if he divorce me what will be my status??
Please advise me do I have to apply for H1 in coming April to be on safer side??
Please give me some advise.

I'm not sure I fully understand your situation. When you say that your "I-485 was approved," what do you mean? Why do you not have a greencard if your I-485 was approved? (Perhaps you've had the interview, but not the GC yet?) And if you were married in 2004, then, depending on if you've already been married 2 full years, it's conceivable that your GC could be an unconditional one -- in which case a divorce would not matter.

I myself don't know very much about the immigration process, but if you explain your situation in greater detail, I'm sure one of the wise folks here would be able to advise you better.

Also, could it be that you're referring to the I-765 (application for the EAD) instead of the I-485? Is it the I-765 that was approved?

I haven't received my GC yet.I have my EAD and finger printing is over because of this retrogation GC is pending.Not sure when it will be issued.In the mean time can you advise what can I do if my husband divorces me??
Do I have to leave EAD and apply for H1 in coming April.IS it possible that I can get my H1 and wait for my GC to come?
